I attended the SAW Friday night workshop, and we were working on conveying a sense of place. I had a lot of fun trying to convey what I wanted to, and I think I did okay. I'm not a huge fan of the birds-eye perspective in the third panel  ( think I should have worked on keeping the character POV), and I wish I had added my scenic details in the last panel. But it was a fun challenge!

I did some more art! I hope you like it! I'm pretty happy with both of these.

I. Bodily Autonomy Is Fundamental--I drew another response to the Roe v. Wade decision. It seemed appropriate to use Aislin, who was used in my story, The Armen.

2. Beautiful Faults-I wanted to try a couple of things here. One I wanted to try a more realistic style, and I wanted to ink in colors that weren't black. I wanted to explore the idea of embracing faults and fragilities. I wanted to embrace the ideals behind raku pottery (pottery made deliberately with cracks) and kintsugi (fixing cracks with cold), and I wanted to make the cracks visible and beautiful; in other words, I wanted to think about embracing my faults and history.
