Today's Inktober is based on a photo I took at the Charter Street Cemetery in Salem (at least I think it's Charter Street). I have been saving this for closer to Halloween, and I'm pleased to complete it.

I went hiking at Hammond Pond yesterday (a great place in the Boston area that is fairly T accessible), and I decided to try drawing a scene I photographed there. It was a beautiful day for a hike--the weather was great, and everything there was so green!

I tried to apply what I learned in a workshop by Melanie Gilman and tried to focus on the trees and rock (with some leaves for detail) so it showed the scene without overwhelming me as I drew it.
